To protect your workforce, we are at your fingertips: internationalsos.comJob DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing nursing care, coordinating administrative activities, and ensuring that all services under agreements are delivered and recorded accurately. This role requires a blend of clinical expertise and administrative coordination to support the overall nursing program within the designated area.Specific Responsibilities:
  • Nursing Care:
    • Provide nursing care at the specified site (SPS), ensuring the health and safety of patients.
    • Monitor patient conditions, administer treatments, and provide necessary medical care in accordance with FOHS policies and procedures.
  • Administrative Coordination:
    • Coordinate all administrative activities related to nursing services, ensuring all services are delivered as specified in Interagency Agreements and recorded accurately in FOHS' Management Information System (MIS).
    • Report directly to the Operations Manager, who oversees the nursing program in the area, and ensure that all site-specific issues (e.g., staffing) are communicated promptly.
  • Compliance and Communication:
    • Ensure that all services are provided in compliance with FOHS policies, agency-specific procedures, and relevant regulatory requirements.
    • Act as a liaison between the nursing staff and the Operations Manager, facilitating clear communication and prompt resolution of any site-specific challenges.
  • Supervisory Duties:
    • Oversee the daily operations of the nursing staff at the site, providing guidance, support, and ensuring that high standards of care are maintained.
    • If applicable, implement and manage the approved RN oversight plan for LPN/LVN staff, ensuring adherence to state Board of Nursing regulations.
Desired Qualifications (Additional):
  • Experience in urgent care, critical care, or trauma medicine, with proficiency in airway management and neonatal ventilator support.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems, such as Epic, for patient charting and documentation.
  • Strong understanding of workers' compensation laws and regulations.
Qualifications
  • RN licensure (or LPN/LVN licensure with COTR approval required)
  • CPR and AED certification
  • Two (2) years of experience in Occupational Health (OH) or related fields such as public health/community health, outpatient clinic, school nursing, or physician office nursing
  • At least one (1) year of supervisory experience
  • If an LPN/LVN is assigned, a plan for RN oversight must be established, approved by the COTR, and adhered to throughout the assignment, ensuring compliance with Board of Nursing regulations.
