A leading healthcare organization in New York City is seeking a Nurse Manager, Care Management (RN) to oversee the operations and staff within the Care Management department. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality care, compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting seamless patient transitions.
Responsibilities:
The Nurse Manager, Care Management (RN) will be responsible for:
- Overseeing departmental operations, including staffing, budgeting, and quality assurance
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and hospital policies
- Managing and mentoring staff, including hiring, evaluations, and terminations
- Developing and implementing departmental goals aligned with hospital objectives.
- Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure effective patient care and discharge planning
- Monitoring and addressing departmental performance improvement metrics
- Leading staff education, orientation, and competency assessments
- Managing safety protocols to ensure a safe environment for staff and patients
- Building relationships with community agencies to optimize post-discharge care
- Participating in leadership meetings, committees, and special projects
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- Current RN license in New York State
- PRI/Screen and CCM certifications
- Minimum 5 years of managerial experience in an acute hospital setting
- Prior experience as a case manager in an acute hospital setting
- Knowledge of healthcare financial, regulatory and payer issue setting

- Advanced understanding of state, local, and federal healthcare programs
- Ability to lead performance improvement initiatives and mentor staff
