Primary Purpose: The Nurse Practitioner is responsible for providing exceptional patient experiences by delivering high-quality, fast, and affordable medical care to people of all ages, in an efficient and affordable manner consistent with our company's values and culture

Essential Job Duties:

Patient Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct thorough medical evaluations, including taking patient histories, performing physical examinations, and ordering necessary tests to diagnose non-life-threatening illnesses and injuries.

Treatment and Care: Evaluate and medically treat patients in accordance with our medical delivery standard of care as well as any and all regulatory guidelines.

Patient Education: Offer guidance on managing conditions, including home care instructions, lifestyle changes, and when to seek further medical attention. Ensuring patients fully understand their diagnosis and treatment options.

Emergency Response: Respond promptly to more urgent cases and stabilize patients if needed, while determining if transfer to a higher level of care (such as an emergency room or specialist) is necessary.

Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring proper documentation of diagnoses, treatments, and compliance with legal and regulatory standards.

Ensuring a Safe and Efficient Environment: Help maintain a clean, organized, and efficient healthcare setting that prioritizes patient safety, confidentiality, and comfort.

Certification, Licensure, Registration & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution
  • Licensure as a FNP, with at least two year's experience in an acute care setting
  • Board Certified - Emergency Room, Family Practice, Internal Medicine or Occupational Health; ER or urgent care experience a plus
  • Unrestricted, active, and current New York license to practice
  • Unrestricted, active, and current DEA number/license, if applicable to your license
  • Excellent communicator with staff, patients and patient's family members
  • Enjoys treating patients
  • Sense of urgency, accustomed to tight deadlines, fast paced environment and ability to quickly adapt to change/stressful situations
  • Ability to display high degree of inspiration and leadership for team members to retain focus of providing highest levels of patient satisfaction
  • Experience with providing Workers Compensation services, preferred
  • Experience with EMR system, preferred
  • Displays a professional, approachable and selfless demeanor
