Nurse Practitioner – Cardiovascular Medicine

Are you an experienced Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in cardiovascular medicine? This is your opportunity to join a dedicated cardiology team in Brooklyn, where you'll play a vital role in caring for patients with heart conditions. From administering and interpreting stress tests to collaborating closely with cardiologists, your expertise will help improve patient outcomes and quality of life.

Job Type: Full-Time

Work Hours: Monday – Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Salary: $150,000 - $160,000 per year.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including detailed medical histories and physical exams.
  • Provide specialized care for adults with cardiovascular conditions.
  • Administer and supervise cardiac diagnostic tests for accurate diagnosis and treatment planning.
  • Order and interpret lab tests, integrating results into personalized treatment strategies.
  • Diagnose and manage cardiovascular conditions, including chronic disease prevention.
  • Educate patients and their families on heart health, preventive care, and long-term management.
  • Prescribe medications in accordance with New York State and federal regulations.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in cardiovascular medicine.
  • Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support the cardiology team and patient care.

Requirements

How To Qualify:

  • Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) from an accredited program.
  • Licensure & Certification:
    • Board Certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC, AANP).
    • Active, unencumbered New York State RN license.
    • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification.
    • Active Medicare/Medicaid enrollment or eligibility.
  • At least 1-2 years as a Nurse Practitioner in cardiovascular care.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Microsoft Office.
