**Avera is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) looking to deliver the best possible care in Averas patient-focused settings.**

**Job Summary**

Assumes the responsibility for the provision of primary care and medical management of patients at the clinic and/or hospital under the direction and supervision of a physician. Nurse Practitioners practice under the rules and regulations of the Nurse Practice Act of the state in which they work.

**Education and/or Experience**

+ Graduate of an NLN accredited school of nursing or equivalent; graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program required.

+ Masters or doctorate degree required.

**CERTIFICATION, LICENSURE, and/or REGISTRATIONS**

+ Licensure as a CNP and ability to practice in the state of South Dakota.

+ Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Dakota and/or meeting the requirements of Multi-state licensure required.

+ Federal and State DEA certification is required for South Dakota if licensed in South Dakota.

+ Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner (AOCNP) preferred.

**Work Schedule**

+ Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm, occas wknd/call; 64hrs/2wks
