Job Description: Nurse Practitioner (NP) Walton Primary Care, Walton Medical OfficeUnited Health Services is seeking a Nurse Practitioner (NP) Walton Primary Care to join our Walton Family Practice 04 department at Walton Medical Office in Walton, NY. This position is benefits eligible.Shift: DayHours Per Week: 40Salary Range: Depends on ExperienceNurse Practitioner (NP) Walton Primary Care / OverviewNurse Practitioner (NP) Walton Primary Care Clinic.Provides primary care to patients, collaborating with and under the direction of physicians in the clinic, following established standards and practices. Helps with all aspects of patient care, including diagnosis, treatments and consultations. Educates patients about preventative care and prescribed treatments. Conducts physicals, orders tests and serves as a patient's primary healthcare provider.Education/ExperienceKey Responsibilities and ExpectationsMinimum Required:Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degreePossession of an NPI (National Provider Identification) number, as evidenced by the receipt of a copy of the notification assigning the numberSuccessful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner programThree (3) years of professional nursing experience in a clinical settingPreferred:Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)License/CertificationMinimum Required:Current NYS Registered Professional Nurse LicenseAmerican Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP)certificationCurrent NYS Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) license and certification with New York State Education DepartmentDocumentation of current CPR certification required within one (1) week of hire, with maintenance of current CPR certification during employmentCertified Prescriptive Privilege in NYSPreferred:Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) CertificationPossession of Bureau of Narcotics and Dangerous Drugs (BNDD)NumberWork EnvironmentAll work is performed in offices and patient examination rooms that require working in close quarters with other employees and patients. The offices are air conditioned/heated.
