Nurse Practitioner Pain ManagementSpring Valley, NY $80,000-$140,000Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Pain Management Nurse Practitioner to join their healthcare team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive pain management services to patients, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality patient care. Responsibilities:Obtain complete health histories and perform comprehensive physical examinationsPrescribe and manage pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic treatments for chronic and acute painInstruct and counsel patients regarding goals of pain management therapies, compliance with therapeutic regimens, medication side effectsCaring for patients with chronic painPrescribing medications appropriate to treatment plans as well as checking PMP for prescriber safetyConsulting with physicians to find the correct treatment plan for each patientQualifications:Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skillsProficient in developing and implementing comprehensive pain management plansExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsCommitment to providing patient-centered care with empathy and compassionAbility to work collaboratively in a team-oriented healthcare environmentMaster's Degree in Nursing (MSN)Current state licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or equivalentBasic Life Support Certification (BLS)Active DEA registrationTravel:Traveling throughout Long Island, NYC, Rockland Co., and Orange Co. is required.
