Nurses, Registered - NY_OGS_Office of Mental Health : Job Details

Duties include, but are not limited to:• Provide Injections for clinic clients and complete necessary documentation; make medication sheet for each client that gets injections• For client's on Clozaril: o Track required monthly lab work on spreadsheet o Submit lab work into the REMS system o If clients are overdue, reach out o Fax lab work to pharmacies if requested• Ensure EKGs are done as required• Complete Metabolics on clinic clients and complete necessary documentation; make any referrals and linkages that are needed• Complete Health screens on clinic clients and complete necessary documentation• Maintain spreadsheets for injections/health screens• Triage calls• Review RHIO hospital notes and brief relative staff• Answer calls from the Medline and process requests/handle issues with Scripts, side effects, etc.• Coordinate/advocate care with medical PCP's and specialties o Call doctor's offices and lab sites to get lab results, medical notes o Call hospitals to get reports on the clients that have gone to the ER or are in-patient• Obtain Prior authorizations, and handle insurance issues regarding medications, (mostly injections)• Maintain AOT binder• Assist prescribers with various tasks as neededMinimum qualifications: Possession of a license and current registration as a registered professional nurse in New York State.
