Job DescriptionResponsible for working alongside physicians and nurses and facilitating advanced primary and specialty nursing services. Provides patients with support through activities including, but not limited to bathing services, serving meals, transportation, administering medication, and positioning. Ensures patients and families have a positive experience by exhibiting alertness, collaboration, teamwork, and a positive attitude.Principal Accountabilities
- Supports nursing personnel in providing direct patient care and assists patients with daily activities.
- Serves and collects food trays and provides between-meal nourishment.
- Changes bed linen, runs errands and prepares and sterilizes treatment trays and supplies.
- Transports patients within the facility for consultations, treatments, tests, or examinations.
- Measures and records patients' vital signs such as temperature or pulse and provides basic treatment.
- Ensures a safe care environment for the patients and their families.
- Performs continuous rounds and check-ins throughout the shift to ensure patient and family needs are met.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
QualificationsLevel I - High School Diploma or equivalent. 0-3 years of experience as a Nursing Assistant, in Patient Care or other related field with demonstrated increased responsibility in the healthcare industry. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certifications Prefered. CPR Certification preferred.Level II - High School Diploma or equivalent. 3-5 years of experience as a Nursing Assistant, in Patient Care or other related field with demonstrated increased responsibility in the healthcare industry. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certifications Prefered. CPR Certification preferred.Level III - High School Diploma or equivalent. 5+ years of experience as a Nursing Assistant, in Patient Care or other related field with demonstrated increased responsibility in the healthcare industry. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Certifications Prefered. CPR Certification preferred.
