Position: NAR (Registered Nursing Assistant) / HUC (Health Unit Coordinator) Department: Obstetrics and Med/Surg Location: Glencoe, MN Remote Work: No Position Type: Part Time Hours Per 2-week Pay Period: 30 Shift: Days Schedule: 8:30am-7pm, every other Friday/Saturday/Sunday Weekend Rotation: every other Holiday Rotation: Yes Position Summary: The OB NAR/Health Unit Coordinator assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to non-acutely ill patients and assists in maintenance of a safe and clean environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the shift. Responsibilities include some indirect patient care activities in the nursing units as assigned by the Registered Nurse in charge of the shift. The Unit Coordinator provides indirect patient care in the nursing units. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Prepares, compiles and maintains records in the department. Responsible for department and shift organization by requesting supplies and preparing necessary paperwork. Initiates directions from health care team. Participates in performance improvement activities. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, department and hospital policies and procedures and standards. Education and Experience: * Current certification as a Nursing Assistant, Registered and be listed on the Minnesota Board of Nursing Assistant Registry. * Possess current BLS/CPR certification Required Skills and Abilities: * Competency in Windows-based computer systems, fax and multiple line phone systems required. * Candidate will need to obtain Notary Public upon hire. * Must have good verbal and written communication skills as well as adhere to strict patient privacy. * Strong attention to detail required with ability to multi-task and re-prioritize tasks based on patient needs while maintaining a superior level of customer service. * Previous electronic medical record (EMR) experience preferred; Epic/Excellian knowledge a plus! * Willingness to float to the Med/Surg unit as required. * Must be able to meet facility required physical job requirements. Compensation and Benefits: Compensation decisions are made based off of several factors including relevant work experience, education, certification and licensure as well as internal equity. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at the top of their hourly range. Hourly Range: $19.50-$25.43 Wages are just one part of our employee compensation package.
