Nursing Attendant - University Of Tennessee Medical Center : Job Details

Position Summary:Facilitates the transport of the patient to and from the OR under the direction of the scheduling team leader. Assists the OR staff in assuring proper patient positioning, delivering lab work, preparing blood products, and performs cleaning of the OR suites as needed.* Assists with transporting, moving and positioning of patients to OR from other nursing areas as assigned* Positions patients for surgical procedure under supervision of RN and physician* Cleans stretchers after each patient* Maintains cleanliness in OR and cross-contamination between patients* Maintains stock supplies* Transports lab samples to lab* Follows safety guidelines and maintains patient privacy and teaches others the samePosition Qualification:High School diploma or GED; or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
