Department: Practical Nursing Department's Website: Summary of Job Duties: • Participate in the interview process for the Director of the LPN program and LPN faculty • Review all program documents for the Technical Certificate LPN and if needed, make recommendations for improvement • Review past Arkansas Board of Nursing accreditation reports and documents; make recommendations for improvement; assist Dean Johnson and nursing faculty with the Summer 2024 accreditation report and site visit • Review physical facilities and classrooms associated with the LPN program and if needed, make recommendations for improvements • Assist, coach, and mentor nursing faculty (with Dean Johnson's assistance) to write ACEN eligibility, candidacy, and accreditation self-study report • Assist, coach, and mentor nursing faculty through ACEN site visit in Spring/Summer/Fall 2026 (not sure when just yet) • Mentor nursing faculty to shift from clinicians to academicians • Meet regularly (virtual) with nursing faculty about classroom management, pedagogy, and student learning assessment and occasionally conduct classroom observations of teaching; if needed, make recommendations for improvement • Meet regularly with Dean Johnson to review program progress (recruitment, retention, pass rates, employment) and if needed, make recommendations for improvement • Miscellaneous items as needed to expand, accredit, and sustain LPN program excellence Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • 5 or more years' experience in experience in undergraduate nursing education programs
  • 5 or more years' experience in experience in the nursing field.
