Description
The Nursing Informatics Specialist will:
* Function as a clinical system expert to collaborate with clinical areas and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate and provide EMR support and build, education, training, and project management for clinical systems (planning, implementation and evaluation), at the direction of the Director of Information Systems and Technology.
* Participate as an active and collaborative member of the clinical applications team striving for clinical excellence by maintaining established standards of care and practice through direct patient care, clinical systems improvement activities, meaningful use and staff education.
Requirements
* Associate degree in Nursing
* Bachelor's degree or master's degree in Nursing (preferred)
* Two year's clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
* Experience with technology and working with clinical software and Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
* Active Vermont Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing or compact state RN license in good standing.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
* Genuine interest in developing communication materials and web design desired.
* Demonstrated ability to work both independently and in teams desired.
* Ability to work self-directed.
* Excellent organizational skills.
* Excellent communication skills, including writing, editing, and web content management.
