Location: NYC & Hamptons Summer
Looking for local chefs of the New York area
Household: 2 Clients, plus 2 staff to cook for
Client usually has 1-3 guests on average daily, either for lunch or dinner.
Dinner parties 6-8, infrequently
Food preferences:
-No Allergies, Dairy-Free preferred when possible
-Plated/3 Courses (App, Entree, Dessert)
-Americana (Steaks, Roast Chicken, Potatoes, Vegetables), Comfort Food
-American/Italian, Chinese, Greek, French, Mediterranean
-Enjoys Simple Desserts
Schedule:
-Typical Day 12 hours+
-Breakfast Daily
-Lunch & Dinner (Average week will consist of 10-12 meals)
-Clients typically spends 4 – 5 mos/year on East Coast in total
-Weekly schedule varies; may work weeks at a time consecutively
-When Clients are in town: must be able to work 7/days week
-Must be available year round
-2 weeks scheduled vacation per year to start
-Willingness to work long hours, including all holidays and weekends
-When Client is away, you will manage your own schedule
…although must maintain clean & operational kitchen in both houses and must maintain household grocery and dry goods par in NYC
Experience Required:
-Minimum 5 years Full Time in Fine Dining
-Extensive knowledge of various cuisines and culinary techniques.
-Proven experience as a Private Chef or in a similar role for high net worth individuals. Previous experience working full time in a private household is a must.
-Preferably 3 years plus as Full Time/Year Round/Private Chef
-Intermediate to Advanced Baking Knowledge a must
-Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
