OB Clinical Coordinator Educator - LifePoint Health : Job Details

*10K sign-on bonus is available to well qualified applicants!*Works with the development of new and existing OB nursing staff to provide direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.Oversees the development of staff nurses in order to each of them to able to exceed the expectations in the following areas: Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.Documents patient care given.Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate to care team, physician, patient, and family.Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.Perform other duties as assigned.May be required to perform duties of the CNA, MA or LPN or other nursing staff on occasion.Attends and participates in staff meetings, in-service, projects and committees as assigned.Adheres to and supports policies and procedures of the STRHS.Works scheduled shifts including overtime, when necessary.Accepts all call schedule as directed.Maintains a neat and professional appearance in compliance to the existing dress code.Reports to the Director of OB/Women's Services.While performing this job, occupational bloodborne pathogens exposure is present for all employees.Minimum EducationAssociate's degree required.Required SkillsRequires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.CertificationsAHA Basic Life Support (BLS)AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within 6 months of hireNRP, STABLE, AHWONN Fetal Monitoring (after demonstrate competency in L&D)LicensesCurrent and active Registered Nurse Licensure for the State of Tennessee.**Job:** **Nursing***Organization:** **Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Winchester***Title:** *OB Clinical Coordinator Educator***Location:** *Tennessee-Winchester***Requisition ID:** *7448-7684*
