Job Summary: Under the direction of the Occupational Therapists/Physical Therapists (OT/PT), guide students in prescribed therapeutic activities and exercise. Is responsible for administering therapy to students following the evaluation, treatment plan, and goals set by the primary Occupational or Physical Therapist. This position is assigned to one or more schools with a concentrated population of physically challenged students. This position may include, but not be limited to, the following performance responsibilities, qualifications, knowledge, skills and abilities. Specific responsibilities for this position are as described on the attached job description. Salary Range: $35.60 - $40.06/hour per 2024-25 Public School Employees Salary Schedule Above pay rates do not include holiday and pay in lieu of vacation, which increases the hourly compensation. Work Schedule:
- Shift: Monday through Friday, 7:45 a.m. - 3:15 p.m. (hours may vary depending on school site)
- Paid Hours: 7.00 hours per day
- Lunch Break: 30-minutes unpaid break
- Calendar: 9 months/year; enjoy time office during spring break, winter break and summer, plus 10 paid holidays.
Special Duties/Responsibilities: Assist OTs and PTs with services for qualifying students Qualifications:
- AA degree required.
- Current Washington State Department of Health license as a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA).
- Occupational and/or physical therapy experience, preferred.
- Washington State driver's license.
