This role also involves coordination with other healthcare professionals, adherence to regulations, and making clinical decisions to ensure optimal patient outcomes.**JOB** **FUNCTIONS**Supervisory:* Delegates authority to COTAs and technicians.* Provides supervisory visits according to state regulations.Budget:* Remains within monthly budget when ordering equipment and supplies.* Charges patients appropriately and in a timely manner for treatment and equipment.Clinical:* Maintains productivity level at department target.* Evaluates and establishes treatment plan for any patient referred to Occupational Therapy.Remains competent in the following areas:* Evaluation.* Therapeutic Exercise/Activity.* ADL training.* Cognitive skills.* Wheelchair transfers.* Splinting.* Modalities as appropriate for OT.* Attends and provides continuing education inservices.* Serves as mentor for new employees.* Serves as clinical instructor after one year of experience as a clinician.* Completes documentation according to all regulations and in a timely manner.Other:* Must be competent in use of computer for documentation and charging purposes.
