QUALIFICATIONS:
Educational Experience:
- Master's degree in occupational therapy
- Board Certified with NBCOT
- Licensed in the State of North Carolina
WORK EXPERIENCE:
- Dynamic and Proactive: Fun, energetic, and creative with a proactive approach to therapy.
- Pediatric Expertise: Extensive experience in pediatric occupational therapy and a solid understanding of sensory processing disorders
- Therapeutic Knowledge: Familiar with Ayres Sensory Integration Therapy and its application in various settings
- Collaborative Team Player: Strong ability to work within a multidisciplinary team, fostering effective communication and cooperation
- Detail-Oriented: Competent in maintaining accurate documentation while being open to flexible hours to meet client needs
PURPOSE:
- To evaluate and conduct occupational therapy treatments that rehabilitate clients to their optimal functional condition while educating them on maintaining this condition in alignment with their personal goals
PRODUCT:
- Clients achieve optimal conditions following injuries or developmental delays/disabilities and receive education on maintaining their progress. Their satisfaction leads to referrals of friends and family
JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Schedule Coordination: Collaborate with the front desk to maximize therapist availability and enhance client access to services
- Patient Evaluation: Assess new patients and conduct timely reassessments of existing clients' Plans of Care to ensure effective treatment
- Therapy Delivery: Implement prescribed therapy plans for current clients, focusing on their individual needs and goals while ensuring timely documentation
- Team Collaboration: Work within a multidisciplinary team to improve overall client care and outcomes in diverse settings, including teletherapy and schools
- Client Transition: Successfully discharge clients upon treatment completion, ensuring a smooth transition and participation in marketing events to promote services
QUOTAS:
- 30 billable hours/week
- 4 documentation hours as part of a full 40-hour workweek
- 5 one-hour lunch breaks
- All remaining time outside of lunch, supervision, and documentation is available for scheduling clients or makeup sessions
