Work Schedule: Days

Hours: Variable hours from 830am-5pm covering OP and IP therapy.

Summary:

Provides rehabilitation according to state licensure. Organizes and conducts treatment programs to restore and prevent loss of function following disease, injury and/or disability. Practices with autonomy, adhering to Best Practice guidelines and communicating with all healthcare professionals for the best plan of care for the patient.

Responsibilities:

Education

* Bachelors of Science Degree in Occupational Therapy required

* Must possess a valid New York State license and registration to practice as an OTR

Experience

* Prior experience working in a similar clinical setting is preferred

* BLS within 60 days of hire

Knowledge, Skill and Ability:

* Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.

* Must have knowledge of Occupational Therapy procedures.

* Communication skills which may be inclusive of approach, tone of voice, speed of communication, respectfulness and non-verbal communication

WORKING CONDITIONS:

* Must be able to lift, carry, reach push/pull and perform all other occupational therapy activities to carry out resident treatment.
