Occupational Therapist (OT) - Article 16 - Tandym Group : Job Details

A community services organization in New York City is looking to add a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their growing team at one of their group homes in the Bronx.About the Opportunity:

• Schedule: Monday to Friday
• Hours: 8am to 4pm or 9am to 5pm
• Setting: Article 16 Clinic
• Patient Population: Adults (Ages 18+)
• EMR: PrecisionCare

• Assess patients and create and OT treatment plan
• Review medical records and verify MD's orders
• Implementing OT treatment
• Communicate with supervisor regarding persons receiving services in the areas of cognitive/perceptual skills, sensor-motor, musculoskeletal status, CNS status, the use of assistive technology and adaptive equipment needs (e.g., ADL devices)
• Confer with Physician and other Healthcare Practitioners to obtain additional information on persons receiving services
• Integrate input from persons receiving services, family, and direct care staff in treatment
• Write specific, objective, and measurable documentation
• Participates and attends care plan/team meetings as needed for persons receiving OT services.
• Perform other duties, as needed

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Therapy
• NYS Occupational Therapist (OT) license
• Knowledge in the use of adaptive equipment, therapeutic activities
• Computer savvy
• Solid assessment skills
• Great interpersonal skills
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
• Strong attention to detail
• Highly organized
