A nonprofit organization in New York City is actively seeking a Pediatric-oriented, licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) to join their staff at one of their preschools in Queens. Working in a team-oriented environment, the Occupational Therapist (OT) will be responsible for working alongside other therapists to treat children with developmental disabilities. Part-time and full-time opportunities are available!About the Opportunity:
- Setting: Preschool
- Hours: 8am to 2pm
- Age Range: 3 to 5 years old
- Student Demographic: Pediatric with Developmental Disabilities
Responsibilities:The Occupational Therapist (OT) will be responsible for:
- Providing the best possible quality care to all students
- Evaluating and treating students with disabilities
- Maintaining daily progress and attendance records
- Writing progress reports
- Attending IEP meetings
- Recommending adaptive equipment, environmental accommodations or assistive technology
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (New graduates are welcome!)
- NYS Occupational Therapist (OT) license
Desired Skills:
- 6+ months of experience working with the Pediatric population
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities
