We are currently seeking an experienced Occupational Therapist with a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential to join our team. Position Summary: As an Occupational Therapist and Certified Hand Therapist (CHT), you will specialize in the treatment of upper extremity conditions, helping patients regain movement, strength, and function. You will work closely with physicians, surgeons, and a multidisciplinary team to develop and execute customized treatment plans to support the best possible patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: --- Evaluate and assess patients with hand, wrist, and upper extremity injuries or conditions, including post-surgical cases. --- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans to address each patient's needs and goals. --- Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and other rehabilitation techniques. --- Fabricate and fit custom orthoses and splints for patients as needed. --- Educate patients and families on therapeutic exercises, activities, and home care to optimize recovery. --- Collaborate with the healthcare team, including referring physicians, to ensure continuity of care. --- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in accordance with practice standards and regulatory requirements. Qualifications: --- Licensure: Licensed Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) in the state of Florida. --- Certification: Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential is required. --- Experience: Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience, preferably with a focus on hand and upper extremity therapy. --- Skills: --- Strong knowledge of hand anatomy, biomechanics, and rehabilitation techniques. --- Proficient in custom orthosis fabrication and splinting. --- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient education skills. --- Detail-oriented, with strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities.
