Job Title: OCI Cloud Engineer (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure)

Work Location: New York, NY, United States (Hybrid)

Technical Skills Primary

o Proven experience as a OCI cloud engineer or a similar role 7 years

o Strong understanding of cloud design principles including security scalability and performance

o Extensive production experience in migrating, optimizing, and managing workloads from AWS to Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), including re-architecting applications, configuring multi-region deployments, and automating infrastructure using IaC tools

o Experience on Oracle Cloud Migrations specifically to migrate EC2 workloads to OCI

o Excellent communication collaboration and presentation skills

o Ability to translate business needs into technical solutions

Key Responsibilities

o Solution Architecture Design comprehensive end-to-end solutions on OCI that align with client requirements Ensure your designs prioritize scalability reliability security and performance

o Customer Engagement Collaborate closely with clients to understand their business objectives technical needs and constraints Provide expert guidance on OCIs capabilities and best practices to help them achieve their goals

o Technical Leadership Lead the technical design and implementation of OCI solutions providing direction and mentorship to technical teams throughout the project lifecycle

o Cloud Migration Assess existing AWS EC2 infrastructure and applications Develop comprehensive migration strategies and execute plans to seamlessly transition them to OCI

o Infrastructure as Code IaC Implement IaC practices using tools like Terraform to automate the provisioning and management of OCI resources ensuring consistency and efficiency

o Security and Compliance Ensure OCI solutions meet industry standard security and compliance requirements Implement robust security controls encryption and access management measures

o Performance Optimization Continuously identify opportunities to optimize OCI solutions for performance cost and resource utilization Leverage native OCI services and features to achieve optimal results

o Monitoring and Troubleshooting Implement effective monitoring logging and alerting solutions on OCI to proactively identify and address performance issues and security threats
