Our client, an industry leader in the manufacturing of heavy gage stamped metal fasteners, progressive die metal stampings for the industrial and automotive industry, is looking for a Packaging Engineer. Key qualifications: 5 + years of OEM packaging experience is required. Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field. There is an annual bonus opportunity and relocation assistance for the right candidate.

responsibilities:

Supporting automotive assembly manufacturing through continuous improvement, addressing quality issues, managing new launches, engineering changes, and ing lessons learned. Developing and implementing process control techniques, analyzing packaging processes for press and assembly operations, and updating related documentation. Conducting time studies, line balancing, and maintaining the Bill of Materials (BOM) for packaging. Collaborating with customer engineers and representatives on packaging solutions, conducting Root-Cause Analyses (RCA) to improve processes, and fostering effective communication with vendors, team members, suppliers, and customers. Applying best practices for efficiency, quality, safety, and capability while completing various duties and projects as assigned.
