Job Summary:The Office Assistant 2 will assist the manager with supporting technical staff with the coordination of medical record scanning, quality review and resolving various types of work problems. Duties shall include but are not limited to: monitoring document distribution and maintaining various data bases, daily/monthly production reports, statistics, etc. Will scan in the most difficult reports and work as a liaison with clinic staff to ensure the integrity of records within EMR. Assist with training of new staff members. Good communication skills and organizational skills required. Must be able to answer phones, use keyboard and scanning equipment. Must be able to bend, stretch, and lift 25 lbs. of medical records.Minimum Qualifications:For consideration for this title, you must meet one of the following minimum qualifications:NYS Department of Civil Service Eligible list or eligible for transferOrPromotional:Must be a qualified employee of New York State and have had one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/55-c service as an office assistant, clerical or keyboarding title allocated to Grade 5 or higher. Qualifying titles are available at: competitive (Non-competitive, NY HELPS) Qualifications:One year of clerical experienceWork Days:Schedule is based on a 37.5 hour work week.
