Office Assistant - Ocean Havens : Job Details

Charlestown Marina LLC is seeking to fill the position of Office Assistant. The office assistant is responsible for directing and assisting front office operations in the marina's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest services and financial profitability. The ideal candidate will thrive in a highly demanding/fast-paced environment. Customer service experience and great communication skills are a must. Tasks must be handled professionally and efficiently. Exceptional interpersonal skills are required as you will be developing relationships with existing, as well as, future clients. This position reports directly to the Marina Director.Duties include (but are not limited to):

• Overseeing the full execution of the marina office
• Processing new and existing reservations through phone, email and 3rd parties
• Maintaining all inventory of supplies and merchandise
• Daily financial reconciliation
• Maximizing occupancy of Marina by working closely with the Office Manager and Marina Director
• Welcoming Marina guests in a courteous, efficient, and friendly manner, both face-to-face and on the phone; and insuring guest needs are being met
• Providing recommendations and concierge service
• Other duties as assigned by management
• Qualifications:
• Detail oriented, organized, efficient
• Concierge, hospitality or food service, experience a plus
• Must be a team-oriented multitasker committed to delivering a first-class marina experience.
• Able to operate successfully in a cross-functional and exceptionally busy environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, especially Outlook, Word and Excel
• Knowledge of QuickBooks preferred
• Prefer two years reception or management experience or bachelor's degree in Marina or Hospitality Management. Ability to work holidays and weekends is necessary. Flexibility is a plus. Full training is provided.

Charlestown Marina is 350 slip first-class marina on Piers 6 and 8 in the Charlestown's Navy Yard. We welcome both seasonal and transients' boats ranging in size from 18ft to 400ft.
