Job Summary
This position is the glue that holds our Center together. You'll have the opportunity to interact with faculty, staff and students and be the face of the Center while you develop teamwork, communication, and professionalism skills. Don't worry as we'll train you.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
* Answer phone and take accurate messages.
* Act as receptionist at front desk. Be courteous and friendly while providing customer service to all visitors.
* Help with logistics and organization of career fairs as needed.
* Learn Eagle CareerNet System and enter jobs to system.
* Do other Eagle CareerNet maintenance as requested.
* Do online research as requested.
* Update emailing lists utilizing EXCEL.
* Distribute mail, make copies, put together information packets, etc.
* Post job or interview announcements, workshop schedules, and career fair information, etc. on all boards on campus as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements
Must qualify for and be awarded federal work study
* Must be comfortable dealing with people and phone calls and have a patient and pleasant disposition while providing excellent customer service.
* Must maintain confidentiality with student and employer records and sign a confidentiality statement.
* Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel
* Must be willing to learn to enter information and do other maintenance on our on-line career management system, Eagle CareerNet.
* Must have an interest in helping with large events such as the Career Fair.
* Good attitude and willingness to help office staff as requested.
* Accuracy is a must.
Additional Desirable Qualifications Physical Requirements
This position will be working in an office most of the time. Sometimes incumbent will be outside during all types of weather or temperatures or in other buildings on campus posting job or interview announcements, workshop schedules, or career fair announcements, etc. or setting career fair yard signs. At times, position requires a significant amount of walking and light lifting (25 pounds or less). There will be interaction with faculty, staff, students, employers, community partners and parents.
Working Conditions
This position will work in an environment that operates under standard office lighting conditions and low to moderate noise levels.
