Position Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to work as an Office Associate in the Big Muddy River Correctional Center Records Office. The position, under general supervision of the Office Administrator III, is responsible for performing complex sentence calculations, preparing various documents, reports, forms, and memos, and entering sensitive information properly and timely into various computer systems. Applicant must be able to maintain highly confidential and sensitive information kept within the Records Office and be able to undergo constant changes and workflow. Essential Functions

* Performs complex sentence calculations including revocation and restoration of statutory sentence credits.

* Prepares all documents as a result of individual in custody due process regarding disciplinary hearing results and inputs data into O360 and/or Champs.

* Prepares and distributes daily individual in custody movement, disciplinary actions and results of legal actions pertaining to individuals in custody.

* Keyboards a variety of documents, reports, forms, and memos including legal terminology in O360.

* Serves a member of the Facility Review Team per Administrative Directive (A.D.) 01.11.103.

* Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonable and within the scope of those duties enumerated above.

Minimum Qualifications

* Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of high school and two (2) years of office experience.

* Requires the ability to keyboard accurately 45 words per minute.

Conditions of Employment

* Requires ability to pass the IDOC/IDJJ background check.

* Requires ability to pass a drug screen. The use of unauthorized drugs by an employee, regardless of position held, is prohibited.
