  • Provide varied and complex administrative support for the National Drought Mitigation Center ( NDMC ).
  • Be responsible for duties including financial and office management, data management, and coordinating communication between the NDMC and its clientele.
  • Serve as the assistant to the NDMC Director by helping the Director perform the administrative and technical responsibilities associated with the Center's program.
  • Provide office and technical support services for NDMC staff members, affiliated faculty and graduate students, and part-time undergraduate and graduate student employees.

  • High school diploma or GED plus four years of experience providing administrative or office support, OR
  • Associate degree in business administration or related field plus two years of relevant experience. Additional relevant education may substitute for experience on a year-for-year basis.
  • Experience must demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize work, and recognize process improvements.
  • Strong PC-based word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software skills.
  • Experience with Adobe software products.
Preferred Qualifications The following qualifications are preferred but not required:
  • Experience in a university setting.
  • Working knowledge of UNL procedures, Firefly, and SAP .
