**ABOUT AMPI:**

AMPI owns eight Midwest-based manufacturing plants where 10percent of the nations American-type cheese, processed cheese and butter is produced. The cooperatives award-winning cheese, butter and powdered dairy products are marketed to foodservice, retail and food ingredient customers. **JOB SUMMARY:**

The Warehouse Office Clerk performs general office duties in support of day to day operations with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks in a pleasant, efficient, and courteous manner. This individual will work as a team member with all levels of the organization to maintain processes that increase the warehouses efficiency; support the reduction of damaged product and waste, ensuring customer satisfaction in an effective and efficient manner.

**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**

- Answer telephones and directs the caller to the appropriate employee.

- Greet and provide assistance to visitors and employees in the warehouse.

- Take and retrieve messages for various personnel.

- Provide callers with information such as company address, directions to the company location, company fax numbers, company website and other related information.

- Assemble and distribute production reports to appropriate supervisors and managers on a daily basis.

- Prepares documents for shielded products.

- Enter daily production data into JDE software.

- Assist with compiling butter and storage receipts from outside warehouses.

- Enter in butter loads that were received in and shipped out from other warehouses into databases and JDE.

- Enter and track a certificate of analysis on product and send to the customers affected.

- Enter data into Chep Pallet portal.

- Compile data and balance monthly inventory on various warehouses.

- Prepare data and type reconciliation report. Distribute to appropriate employees.

- Perform data entry in numerous software databases for butter loads.

- Prepare bill of ladings used for shipping product.

- Ship confirmed loads and initiate butter sales report.

- Assist with quarterly inventory adjustments and transfers. Perform research and reconciliation of inventory discrepancies.

- Create miscellaneous correspondence for warehouse employees.

- Assist with other related clerical duties such as photocopying, scanning, faxing, filing and collating.

- Perform back-up office responsibilities.

- Perform afternoon mail run when the warehouse is shorthanded.

- Perform other duties as assigned.

**EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:**

* High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED).

* Associates Degree in Accounting or related field or a combination of education and relevant work experience.

* One to three years relevant work experience preferred.

* Proficiency with computer skills that include Microsoft Office, Word and Excel.

* Experience with Oracle ERP or other ERP systems is preferred, but not required.

* Knowledge of SQF, HACCP, GMP's, OSHA and loss control programs is highly desirable.

* Must possess a valid drivers license.
