We are singularly focused on designing, building, and operating a fleet of multi-purpose commercial planetary rovers to extend and enhance humanity's presence in the solar system. We are seeking motivated, creative, and exceptional people to join our world-class team. Astrolab is seeking an Office Coordinator to provide support to our growing team in Hawthorne, CA. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, quick-thinking, flexible, and able to juggle multiple and diverse responsibilities with a strong emphasis on organization, inclusive culture building, and attention to detail. What You'll Do:
  • Welcome and assist visitors, ensuring a professional and friendly first impression
  • Maintain the cleanliness and organization of reception and kitchen areas, including managing office snacks and beverages
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings, interviews, and conference room bookings
  • Arrange domestic and international travel for employees and candidates
  • Handle administrative tasks such as preparing reports, scanning documents, and receiving deliveries
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, staff, vendors, and office guests
  • Organize and manage onsite and offsite activities, events, and meetings
  • Coordinate and support community engagement, marketing, and recruiting events
  • Oversee special projects and assist with office operations as needed
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate facility maintenance tasks
What's Prepared You:
  • Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of professional experience in an office or customer service setting OR 2+ years of relevant experience
  • Friendly, professional, and approachable demeanor
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Proven ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment
  • Resourceful and proactive, always seeking innovative solutions to challenges
  • Strong verbal, written, and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, etc.)
  • Familiar with accounting software such as Bill.com or Xero
  • Capable of handling and safeguarding confidential information with discretion
