Position Overview:

The Department of Healthcare and Family Services, Child Support Services (CSS) is seeking to hire a highly qualified and motivated professional to join our Collection & Asset Recovery Unit (CARU) Unit 2 in the role of Office Coordinator. This position performs complex and specialized accounting procedures to issue driver's license suspension notices to Non-Custodial Parents (NCPs) after verifying that the conditions of issuance have been met, reviews and analyzes accounts through the comparison of Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) computer records, State Disbursement Unit (SDU) payment records, and Clerk of the Court payment records to determine correct delinquency amount, gathers information and issues driver's license suspension notices to responsible relatives whose accounts meet established delinquency guidelines.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills to be successful in performing the operations of the Collection & Asset Recovery Unit (CARU) Unit 2.

Essential Functions

* Under direction, performs complex and specialized procedures to issue driver's license suspension notices to Non-Custodial Parents (NCPs) after verifying that the conditions of issuance have been met

* Reviews and analyzes account through the comparison of Healthcare & Family Services (HFS) computer records, State Disbursement Unit (SDU) payment records, and Clerk of the Court payment records to determine correct delinquency amount

* Gathers information and issues notices of driver's license suspensions to responsible relatives whose accounts meet established delinquency guidelines

* Responds to telephone inquiries relating to driver's license suspensions

* Establishes and monitors tracking procedures to monitor the status of license suspensions and other work in progress

* Keyboards letters, forms, records, and other documents relative to driver's license suspensions

* Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above

Minimum Qualifications

* Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to two (2) years of secretarial/business college, or completion of high school and two (2) years of related office experience, or two (2) years of independent business experience

* Requires the ability to keyboard accurately at 30 words per minute

Conditions of Employment

* Requires the ability to pass a national background check prior to employment due to accessing confidential federal tax information

* Requires the ability to utilize and maintain state issued equipment such as a laptop
