Job SummaryThe Assistant Service Center Manager is responsible for assisting with the managing of the daily activities of the Distribution Center involving transportation, warehousing, and related services to achieve customer service, satisfaction, and cost objectives.A key aspect of this role is to provide effective leadership, communication, and motivation to achieve operational objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- The successful candidate will assist with managing all activities at the site and have a strong focus on process control. They will:
- Assist with managing the Will Call business to ensure customers are provided a high level of service.
- Order Processing
- Walk-in business
- Limited Technical Support, primarily application-related queries
- Communicate with various departments regarding supply chain and service issues.
- Operations
- Proactive Customer Service
- Technical Sales
- Product Management/Quality
- Assist with oversight of the following processes:
- Sales Order processing; prepare for picking, then pull, pack, ship, and bill
- Inventory receipts
- Warehouse location maintenance
- Personnel
- Safety management system
- Manage the office and warehouse staff
Regular and predictable attendance, safely performing tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential functions of your job.Skills, Knowledge, and Ability RequirementsTo be considered for an Office Manager position, the following conditions must be met:
- Associate degree or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of warehouse distribution experience including 3 years of experience in a service/distribution center, preferably B2B.
- A detailed orientation with a desire to follow a proven process.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills, bilingual is a plus.
- Ability to effectively interface with customers.
Equipment
- Personal desktop computers, fax machines, copy machines, calculator, writing instruments, telephones, various printers, and tape measure

Safety
- Hazards - Exposure to chemicals/fumes, pinch points, exposure to excessive noise,
- strain/sprain, laceration/puncture, particulate exposure, contusion, temperature extremes, slipping, burns, shock, loss of limbs
- Controls - Personal protective equipment, safety training, written procedures
- Safety Equipment - Hard hat, back belt, safety glasses, steel toe shoes/boots, cut-resistant gloves, cut-resistant outerwear, and other equipment as dictated by the specific department.
Work Environment
- Noise levels in the work environment can be moderate to high.
- The plant facility is subject to the same general climate conditions of the region (heat, cold, humidity, etc.).
- Chemicals, dust, pollen, and other typical airborne particulate matter are present within the atmosphere of the production floor and may create some odors in the plant. The Company, to provide its employees with a safe and healthy working environment, limits exposure to chemicals through written procedures, engineering controls, and PPE.
- While some chemicals may pose health risks if not properly used, employees are trained on the proper safety equipment and procedures for handling chemicals.
- While the chemical exposure and odors are under acceptable levels set by OSHA and the WCB, they nevertheless, can be smelled and are handled according to the company's hazardous communication program.
