Georgetown College is seeking candidates for a full time Office Manager for Admissions. This position works alongside the Director of Operations and the Admissions team to ensure a top-notch guest experience and to keep office operations running smoothly.
Established in 1829, Georgetown College is a distinguished private college in the Bluegrass region of central Kentucky, offering primarily undergraduate programs in the liberal arts, sciences, and professions. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
* Answer the main phone line for the college and direct calls to the appropriate offices
* Greets prospective students and families when they arrive for their visits
* Assist the Director of Operations with daily tasks including data entry, prospective student mailings, inter-office communications, etc.
* Maintain effective working relationships with campus administrators and departments to provide a high-quality campus daily visit program that supports the GC mission.
* Assist admissions house team with tour and event preparation, including creating materials, signage, etc.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

* Education and / or Experience -- Bachelor's degree in a related major from a four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Master's degree preferred
* Communication / Language -- Requires effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
* Mathematical -- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages. concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
* Reasoning -- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to independently resolve problems.
