Office of Diversity and Outreach Analyst F_IT EIA PEOPLE ANALYTICS Full Time 81534BR Job Summary This role within Enterprise Information and Analytics (EIA) will partner closely with the Office of Diversity and Outreach to build analytical tools and data processes that promote diversity, equity, and inclusion across UCSF, following best analytical principles and practices. Under the general direction of the Director of People Analytics, Enterprise Information, and Analytics, this position will be a resource to the Vice Chancellor of Diversity and Outreach senior leadership to employ data analyses and solutions that advance the mission of the Vice Chancellor's units, such as assessing the organization's overall climate, and the Anti-Racism initiative. This position ensures that work being done is aligned with broadly defined objectives, by using data and business intelligence tools to analyze and advance the office's initiatives. This includes, but is not limited to:
- Support, analysis, and reporting of the ODO's Climate Survey. This includes providing definitions and analyzing both business and demographic attributes for all Faculty, Staff, and Learners at UCSF who respond to the survey. Develop reporting tools, including communications via PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau dashboards, or other presentation approaches.
- Development of workflow and dataflow processes to assist with the annual production of the Affirmative Action Plan with the Office of Diversity and Outreach and the Office for the Prevention of Harassment and Discrimination. This includes learning and understanding UCSF hiring and recruitment business processes and federal compliance obligations and reporting requirements. Supporting ODO/OPHD with job group cluster analyses and audits,
- Development and improvement of current products to communicate with more transparency about the office's focus on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) as well as UCSF's Anti-Racism initiative. In that respect, the director develops business cases to support enterprise-wide business intelligence solutions. The successful candidate will be inquisitive and consultative and able to translate business problems into data, and data into stories. The candidate will have experience automating data pipelines and building visualization dashboards.The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related area and / or equivalent experience/training.
- 3-5 years of relevant progressive experience
- Ability to prepare data models unassisted.
- Familiarity with data model patterns in one or more common business or academic domains.
- Familiarity with logical data design and data mapping or data conversion.
- Familiarity with data quality and governance issues and requirements.
- Ability to represent relevant information in abstract models.
- Thorough knowledge of data management systems, practices, and standards.
- Demonstrated ability to work with others from diverse backgrounds. Demonstrated effective communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated service orientation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization.
