STATE PROFILE SUMMARY: Under general supervision, performs a wide range of office administration duties for assigned functions or program areas, duties may be complex in nature and may involve access to confidential information. May research, investigate, and/or resolve program data or issues. Drafts documentation, reports, or presentations. Represents program or unit, provides information and assistance to internal and external customers.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Independently performs complex para-professional tasks requiring specialized knowledge in a program area.
* Tasks include receiving and reviewing, filing, and drafting correspondence in support of respected office, working with the division professionals and staff in identifying issues and resolve problems.
* This position will be the first point of contact for the office on telephone calls and visits.
* Effectively communicate with clients and customers verbally and in writing
* Proof reading for proper grammar, punctuation/spelling
* Gather organize, research, evaluate, and maintain information
* Communicate by a variety of methods such as presentations and/or discussions
* Perform basic mathematical computations
* Data Entry
* Maintain a positive and professional image as the first point of contact to customers/clients
* Work with applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
* Provide Quality Customer Service
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
The selected candidate must meet the advertised minimum qualifications to include State Entry Qualifications as well as Agency Specific Minimum Qualifications
STATE ENTRY QUALIFICATIONS:
* Associate's degree from an accredited college or university AND One year of related experience
OR
* Three years of related experience
AGENCY SPECIFIC QUALIFICATIONS:
* Three or more years of experience in the area of assignment.
* One years of experience in reviewing technical documents and/or reports such as financial documents or other sensitive files
* Three years of experience using software applications such as Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
* One year of experience with People Soft Financials and KRONOS or electronic time keeping system
* One year of experience ordering office supplies
* Three years of experience proof reading documents
AGENCY PREFERRED COMPETENCIES: (KSAs)
* Experience in reviewing and analyzing technical documents and/or reports such as financial documents and other sensitive files.
* Demonstrated knowledge of the Department's programs, policies, and procedures as it relates to advertised position.

Human Resources may remove any employee from consideration for selection who is pending a disciplinary action; however, if the action is resolved in the employee's favor, he or she will be allowed to compete.
