If the student works one semester, the performance evaluation will be completed after that semester. Purpose: Office of the President Student Employee has a crucial and diverse role in supporting the President and their Executive Assistant. Their responsibilities encompass various tasks that are important for the efficient functioning of the President's office and the success of the organization as a whole. Overall, the Office of the President Student Employee's role involves providing comprehensive administrative support to the President and his Assistant, helping to streamline operations, and contribute to the success of events and meetings. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Duties & Responsibilities: Daily Tasks Assistance: The student employee will assist the President and Executive Assistant in their daily tasks, which could include sending internal emails to offices on campus on behalf of the President's Office, scheduling appointments, answering phone calls, and any other administrative duties required. Event Preparation: The student employee will contribute to the planning and preparation of events, ensuring they run smoothly. This could involve tasks like coordinating logistics, setting up event spaces, managing guest lists, and assisting with event-related communications. Board and Committee Meetings: The student employee will play a role in preparing for Board and Committee Meetings. This might involve gathering and organizing relevant documents, reserving rooms and technology, printing needed documents for meeting and helping to facilitate catering for the meetings. Board of Trustees Manual: The student employee will assist in creating and updating a manual for new Board Members. This manual could contain important information about the organization's structure, policies, goals, and other essential details to help new members get acquainted with their roles. Updating Board Material: Keeping board materials up to date. The student employee will assist in maintaining accurate and current information for board members to review. Annual Christmas Party and Other Events: The student employee will support the President's involvement in various events, including the Annual Christmas Party. This could include tasks like planning, coordination, setup, and being present to assist Mrs. Williams. Ordering Supplies and Catering: The student employee will manage the procurement of necessary supplies and catering services for the office and events, ensuring that everything is in place and well-prepared. Updating Information: The student employee will ensure that information related to the Office of the President is current and accurate. This could involve updating digital platforms, databases, and any other relevant sources. QualificationsQualifications
- Currently enrolled student at Mount St. Joseph University
- Ability to work on own initiative, independently, and to deadlines
- Well organized, punctual, and reliable
- The ability to communicate sensitively and tactfully, both orally and in writing, with individuals at all levels within the University
