Under the guidance of the assigned supervisor, the Office Technician (OT) (Typing) is responsible for clerical duties within various areas throughout the institution. Positions and job locations include, but are not limited to, the following areas.
Business Services- Associate Warden Office; Valley Housing; Warehouse; Procurement; and Plant Operations
Personnel- Reception; Benefits; Timekeeping; and Hiring and Recruitment
Operations- Associate Warden Office; Mailroom; Inmate Assignments; Visiting, and Custody Captain
Programs- Associate Warden Office; Community Resources; and Housing Units I, II, III/V;
Wardens Office- Chief Deputy Warden; In Service Training; Education; Employee Relations Officer; Grievance Office; Litigation Office; Investigation Services Unit

Candidates new to CDCR or the Division of Juvenile Justice are required to submit to a background investigation process utilizing Live Scan Fingerprinting, and Tuberculosis testing prior to appointment followed by department annual Tuberculosis testing/evaluation thereafter.
