Position Title: Onboarding Specialist (Bilingual - Spanish)
Position Reports To: Office Manager
Position SummaryThe Onboarding Specialist works closely with our recruiters and field management team to ensure timely and thorough onboarding of new hires, rehires, and transfers. During the staffing phase for the job site, the Onboarding Specialist is critical, given that he/she keeps the management team updated daily regarding where the candidates are in their onboarding process.
Essential Functions- Supports new hires as they complete employment application via a phone application or on the internet
- Assists Craft Professionals with translation via written and verbal ATS onboarding in both English and Spanish
- Supervises all onboarding Craft Professionals through the HASC, ISTC, and other clinics/training processes, ensuring craft professional retention
- Manages onboarding through completion, handles sensitive and confidential employee information ensuring superior customer service
- Troubleshoots and escalates (as necessary) onboarding issues as they arise
- Works closely and proactively with the HR Business Partners to review onboarding experiences and implement solutions to improve the onboarding process
- Completes I-9 via HRIS system
- Provides follow up for Craft Professional to ensure completion of clinic requirements and safety courses
- Provides daily/weekly updates to hiring managers regarding the Craft Professional's compliance
- Other duties as assigned
Education & Experience- 1-4 years of experience onboarding candidates in the industrial and/or facilities maintenance sector
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Experience working within ATS or HRIS systems
- Experience with completing background checks via various web-based systems
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Familiarity with qualifications for job sites i.e., registering candidates on the HASC, ISTC, and other industrial training councils
- Ability to work collaboratively and build strong partnerships with management and field leaders
- Proficiency in computers including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
- Must work well in a team atmosphere and communicate effectively both verbally and written
- Must be comfortable adapting to different personalities
- Must have a professional attitude and possess the ability to exercise good judgment when problem-solving
- Ability to work independently for day-to-day tasks to ensure onboarding goals and priorities are met
- Ability to effectively manage multiple projects, tasks, and priorities

- Ability to demonstrate self-motivation and ownership of assigned work
Work Conditions/Physical Demands- Remaining in a stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.
- No adverse environmental conditions expected.
