With the help of innovative tools, a dedicated professional staff, and over 20 years of experience working in the Kansas and Missouri foster care systems, we're equipped to connect children with families that provide love, healing, and stability for a brighter future and offer programs to ensure their success.Job Summary: The Behavioral Interventionist Onboarding Specialist takes the lead in the onboarding processes of Behavioral Interventionist candidates. The position additionally assists in new employee orientation and federal and state regulations and compliance.Responsibilities: Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:Learn the tenets, processes, and approved strategies of onboarding new BI staff at an expert level, following the requirements and policies of the agency, our contracts, and all state and federal regulations.Conduct work assignments with the utmost confidentiality.Complete Forms I-9, verify I-9 documentation, and maintain I-9 files.Conduct new-employee background checks.Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices.Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.Assist with employee file audits to ensure various legal and accreditation compliance standards.Assist with processing of terminations.Assist with recruitment and interview process as needed.Assist the Assistant Program Administrator with various compliance requests and reports.Make photocopies; mail, scan, and email documents; and perform other clerical functions.File documents into appropriate employee physical as well as digital files.Assist in identifying and updating hiring process and background check requirements by state to ensure ongoing agency compliance.Conduct biweekly orientation of BI staff.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications & Preferred Skills:Detail-oriented, flexible, and a self-starter.
