Job Description:

The Nebraska Department of Labor has an exciting opportunity to join the Reemployment Services Division as a One-Stop Reemployment Services Coordinator. The successful candidate will coordinate the service delivery of required One-Stop partners and service providers across the Greater Nebraska workforce system with the goal of facilitating partnerships and providing service delivery to customers.

Examples of Work

* Assists with establishing and maintaining American Job Center network structure. Such activities include ensuring sites are certified, career services are available and accessible in accordance with federal regulations, and ensuring local area policies are implemented and adhered to.

* Prepares and presents on relevant topics during Greater Nebraska Workforce Development Board meetings.

* Provides monthly and annual written reports to the Board tracking performance goals and reviewing the success of service delivery strategies.

* Reviews and utilizes Training Employment Guidance Letters (TEGLS), Memorandums of Understanding (MOUs), policies, and other documents when developing reports and guides.

* Manages complaints and grievances on behalf of the board and adminstrative entity.

* Coordinates cross-training amongst One-Stop partners.

* Writes, maintains, and implements an outreach plan to attract customers and increase workforce resources available.

* Recruits new partners and resources in accordance with the outreach plan.

* Takes ownership of and executes special projects and inititatives.

* Evaluates One-Stop Partner and Customer needs and satisfaction data to continually refine and improve service delivery strategies. Customers include job seekers, program participants, and employers.

* Frequent in-state travel is required.

Location: This is an on-site position located at 600 E Francis Street, Suite 9, North Platte, NE

Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm

Requirements / Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree in human services, behavioral sciences, social sciences, public administration, business administration or closely related field AND three years experience in an employment, job development, or job training agency/program with responsibility for planning and coordinating program operations, or monitoring and evaluating delivery of program services. Related experience may substitute for the educational requirement on a year-for-year basis.

Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in human services, behavioral sciences, social sciences, public administration, business administration, or closely related field; knowledge of and experience with project management and process improvement; knowledge of and experience with the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA).

Other: Must have a valid driver's license or the ability to provide independent authorized transportation.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Knowledge of: Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act; policy making, quality assurance, technical assistance, grant management.

Skilled in: Communicating with variety of individuals; preparing/presenting information to an audience; Microsoft Office (Outlook, Access, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and SharePoint, Google Docs; NEworks or other related software.

Ability to: Deliver multiple programs; plan and develop local area policy; work independently; interact with diverse groups and organizations.
