Position OverviewWe are seeking experienced career prep instructors to lead our structured Career Prep Bootcamps. As a SiSTEM Career Prep Instructor, you will guide students and professionals through skill development, resume building, interview preparation, and industry-specific training to enhance job readiness.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct structured, hands-on lessons focused on career readiness and professional skills.Provide training in resume writing, interview techniques, networking strategies, and job search best practices.Teach industry-specific skills aligned with in-demand careers, including STEM, business, healthcare, and technology.Develop personalized career action plans tailored to individual goals.Offer guidance on internships, apprenticeships, and certifications to enhance employability.Track and document participant progress, adjusting instruction as needed.Maintain regular communication with students and the SiSTEM team.Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Master's or Ph.D. preferred).Minimum of 2 years of experience in career coaching, workforce development, or industry-specific training.Strong knowledge of job search strategies, professional development, and industry hiring trends.Experience guiding students or professionals in one or more of the following areas:Resume and cover letter writing.Interview coaching and mock interviews.Personal branding and LinkedIn optimization.Networking and professional communication skills.Industry certifications and technical skill-building.Career transition planning and upskilling.Excellent digital communication and virtual teaching skills using Zoom or Google Meet.Proficiency with online learning platforms and career development tools.Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace for virtual sessions.Preferred Qualifications:
Industry experience in STEM, business, healthcare, or technology.HR or recruitment background with hiring expertise.Career coaching certification (e.g., Certified Career Coach, CPCC, GCDF).Experience with job placement, internships, or workforce training programs.Multilingual capabilities (especially Spanish).Benefits:
