The School of Engineering at Maritime College, State University of New York, invites applications for the position of Lecturer, Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor in the School of Engineering.The Maritime College School of Engineering consists of three departments: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical and Facilities Engineering, and Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering. school offers degrees in offers degrees in Electrical, Facilities, Marine, and Mechanical Engineering as well as Naval Architecture that are accredited by the Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET. Classification/Salary Range: The Lecturer, Assistant, Associate or Professor position will be an academic year 10 month appointment. The Lecturer 10 Month position is a non-tenure track, while appointments at Assistant, Associate, or Professor positions are tenure-track appointments. Initial appointment without tenure (continuing appointment) will be for a fixed term of two or three years with extensions possible by mutual consent. Tenure (continuing appointment) on hire will be considered for those already tenured or with significant previous academic experience and a demonstrated track record of success. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Compensation includes a full benefits package in accordance with the contract between the State University of New York and United University Professionals. Special Notes: This is a full-time academic year appointment UUP position subject to budget approval. Fair Labor Standard Acts (FLSA) Exempt position, not eligible for the overtime provisions of the FLSA. Internal and external search to occur simultaneously.
