Operating Engineer - Genesis10 : Job Details

New Journey, a Genesis10 company, is actively seeking an Operating Engineer for a 3 month contract position with potential for a contract extension or conversion.Compensation: $41.00 per hourJob Description: Monitor gauges, meters, and computerized controls to ensure equipment is operating safely and within limitsPerform routine maintenance, such as lubricating moving parts, replacing filters, and removing corrosion and soot.Use electrical and electronic test equipment to troubleshoot problems Repairing: Repair equipment, including valves, gaskets, and bearings.Inspect piping, valves, and gauges, and fluid levelsRecord daily readingsMaintain cleanliness in the boiler room and plant.Read blueprints.Test water quality for corrosion Assistant operators and mechanicsSchedule jobsProvide constructive feedback on performance. Keeping up with safety laws: Stay current on safety laws and regulations.Create and enter documented records of inspections, repairs, and maintenance routines.Recommend upgrades and overhauls.Operating engineer are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of chillers, including centrifugal chillers. They may also monitor and maintain cooling tower water treatment controllers.Perform planned, preventive, and emergency maintenance on chillers and related equipment.
