- Role will be 100% onsite
- Will train on 1st shift for 3-6 months, Mon-Fri
- Work Shift will be NIGHT SHIFT, 12 hour, rotating 2,2,3,2,2,3 (2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on, 2 day off, etc)
- Will work every other weekend
- Title of role is an Operating Engineer or Stationery Engineer
- Must have at least a High School Diploma
- Should have around 6 years of exp
- Will be looking at boilers, generators in addition to other equipment listed in job description
- Must have a technical background
- Should have Production experience
- Pharma exp is NOT required - REQUIRED TO HAVE EXP WITH BOILERS, GENERATORS, ETC
- GMP exp
- Military candidates would be great since they are skilled in those areas, but not necessarily certified
- This role will be more of a Group Lead or Shift Lead
- Will help more with troubleshooting

Position summary:
This experienced Operating Engineer works within a maintenance team that ensures compliant, accurate, and timely completion of corrective, emergency and preventive maintenance in support of biologics pharmaceutical manufacturing and research and development operation equipment. Complete corrective, preventive maintenance on all utilities equipment
Essential Functions:
Operating engineer
- Operate and maintain the utility plant, including, but not limited to: Boilers, Chillers, Cooling Towers, Reverse Osmosis, WFI Stills, Clean Steam Generators, Air Compressors, Air Handling Units, Refrigeration, Waste Neutralization, Clean-In-Place systems, handle chemicals as needed, and are the first responders to off-shift manufacturing and electrical systems problems.
- Interpret and respond to Alarms.
- Ensure compliant accurate, and timely completion of corrective, emergency, and preventive maintenance
- Responsibilities
- Monitor equipment operating conditions, takes logs, interprets log readings and takes action as needed.
- Participates in cleaning, adjusting, testing, and performing preventive maintenance.
- Can identify issues and implement improvements with mentorship from shop leader and supervisor.
- Participate in departmental or multi-functional projects.
- Performs repairs on equipment with limited mentorship.
- Develops awareness of all departmental operations
- Carries out all duties in compliance with all company, state and federal laws and regulatory agency guidelines.
- Ensures regulatory and job training remains current by promptly completing required training.
- Participate in PM development and optimization.
- Participate in Maintenance projects including Root Cause Analysis, FMEA's, and Non- Conformance investigations.
- Demonstrates willingness to learn new skills.
- Use Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) Human Machine Interface (HMI) for supervising and fixing equipment problems.
- Perform general building maintenance including plumbing and pipefitting.
- Document all maintenance activities in CMMS.
- Maintain and repair mechanical equipment, such as valves, pumps, and utility systems.

Qualifications:
H.S. Diploma or equivalent
- Certification in Trade/Technical School certification or Military MOS/AFSC/A/C School Certificate of completion is accepted.
- At least 6 years of related industrial experience is required (i.e., electrical, HVAC, refrigeration, mechanical, instrumentation, and controls, etc.).
- Needs to be mobile and able to independently transport themselves between various sites/locations, as guided by the essential functions and responsibilities of the position.
- Is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, talk, hear, walk, sit, climb, balance, crouch, kneel, crawl, and taste or smell.
- Accurate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) must be worn as needed to perform tasks
- Must be able to lift ergonomically, a minimum of 25 pounds or what is stated in the current safety guideline.
- Vision requirements include close, distance, and color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
