About the Role & Team:

Are you passionate about serving our Cast? As an Operations Assistant, you will focus on local Cast Recognition, Cast Engagement, and Cast Communication efforts as well as supporting global programs and events. You will develop programs and activities designed to enhance the Cast experience and you will have daily interactions with local Leadership teams and business executives. Written communication, event planning, graphic design skills, time management, organizational skills, and project management skills are critical to the success of this position. This role will be supporting Disney Water Parks, Miniature Golf and Mickey's Retreat.

You will report to the Parks Planning & Integration Project Manager.

This is an hourly Full-Time role.

What You Will Do:
  • Build and develop local/global programs for Cast recognition events such as Legacy Awards, Quarterly Awards, Service Awards, Cast Parties and more according to global guidelines and strategies

  • Create and market communication collateral associated with the projects and events in scope

  • Collaborate with important partners, including business executives, regarding creative scope, support, and need for each event

  • Partner with various levels within the organization, including Project Managers, line of business leaders and other partners/vendors to develop projects

  • Support multiple committees to help engage and educate our Cast, to include leading our local Recognition Committees.

  • Manage a local recognition budget and provide updates to our financial team

  • Provide general support to the Planning & Integration team

Required Qualifications & Skills:
  • Enthusiasm for recognition and creating happiness for our Cast

  • Demonstrated work experience managing Cast recognition programs/events and budgets from concept through completion

  • High proficiency crafting presentations and collateral using PowerPoint or similar software such as Canva

  • Ability to multitask and focus on multiple projects and events at one time

  • Commitment to promote an inclusive work environment that supports workforce diversity and diverse perspectives

  • High proficiency managing requests and priorities simultaneously amidst constant change

  • Creativity to find solutions, removing barriers and seeing opportunities for continuous improvement

  • Talent for developing partnerships and working with all team members in the organization

  • Experience handling confidential information

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Suite and other programs as well as basic computer functions necessary to operate in a Windows environment and proofread documents

  • Schedule availability to include weekends, variable shifts, and holidays

  • Ability to lift 40+ pounds

Preferred Qualifications:
  • 2+ years' experience leading projects or events from planning to implementation stage

  • Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop/Illustrator

  • Proficiency with Coupa, SharePoint, CastTV

  • Knowledge of Audio Visual (A/V) equipment and set-up

  • Knowledge of Walt Disney Parks and Resorts and offerings

  • Knowledge of Workday

  • Multilingual

Preferred Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
