Job Summary:We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Operations Manager to support our banking operations team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient operations, enhancing process effectiveness, and contributing to the enterprise risk assessment framework. This role demands exceptional organizational skills, a keen understanding of banking regulations, and experience in risk management practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operational Oversight:
    • Assist in overseeing daily banking operations to ensure processes are executed efficiently and in compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Collaborate with various departments to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies.
    • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to operational processes.
  • Enterprise Risk Assessment:
    • Conduct and support enterprise risk assessments to identify potential risks impacting operations.
    • Implement and monitor risk mitigation strategies in alignment with organizational goals.
    • Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance and internal risk management policies.
    • Prepare risk assessment reports and provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Team Collaboration and Support:
    • Provide guidance and support to operations staff, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Foster a collaborative work environment to drive team productivity and morale.
    • Act as a liaison between the operations team and other departments.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to enhance operational processes and implement best practices.
    • Utilize data analytics to track trends, predict issues, and optimize performance.
    • Coordinate with IT and other departments for the implementation of process automation tools.
  • Compliance and Audits:
    • Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights.
    • Stay updated on banking regulations and ensure processes comply with current standards.

    Qualifications and Requirements:

    • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in banking operations, with a strong focus on enterprise risk assessment.
    • Comprehensive knowledge of banking regulations, compliance standards, and risk management frameworks.
    • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Power BI, or similar tools).
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
    • Strong problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail.
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

    Preferred Skills:

    • Certification in Risk Management (e.g., CRMA, CRM) or relevant industry certifications.
    • Experience with operational risk software tools.
    • Knowledge of Lean or Six Sigma methodologies.
