Key Responsibilities:
- Process and verify financial transactions, including trade settlement, account reconciliation, and fund transfers, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and resolve discrepancies related to transactions, accounts, and client portfolios.
- Liaise with internal teams such as trading, compliance, and client service to resolve issues and provide timely responses to client inquiries.
- Maintain accurate records of transactions, financial data, and client information in accordance with company policy and industry regulations.
- Assist with the preparation of reports and documentation for audits and regulatory submissions.
- Support the implementation and testing of new systems, processes, or technology within the operations team.
- Assist in the review and enhancement of operational workflows to ensure efficiency and mitigate risks.
- Monitor market conditions and corporate actions, ensuring they are correctly reflected in client portfolios.
- Perform due diligence on operational processes to ensure they align with organizational goals and meet client needs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve overall operational procedures and maintain the highest level of service for clients.
- Stay up to date with industry regulations, compliance requirements, and market changes that could impact operations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- 3 years of experience in an operational role, preferably within financial services or a related industry.
- Strong knowledge of financial products and services, including equities, bonds, mutual funds, and derivatives.
- Experience with trade processing, reconciliation, and settlement procedures is a plus.
- Proficiency in financial software, Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), and other relevant tools.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and industry standards, such as FINRA, SEC, or other relevant bodies.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Additional Skills (Preferred):
- Experience with financial services operations or back-office processes.
- Familiarity with database management and operational systems.
