Who we are and what we do:

Context Capital Management (“Firm” or “Context”) is an alternative asset management Firm headquartered in La Jolla, California and Greenwich, Connecticut. Founded in 2009 the Firm's Flagship Fund, Context Partners Fund, L.P. (“Fund or “CPF”), employs a capital structure arbitrage strategy primarily within the convertible bond universe to pursue an absolute return objective with a strong focus on capital preservation. We specialize in fixed income and relative-value strategies including capital structure arbitrage, event-driven situations, fundamental credit, distressed and volatility arbitrage.

Since inception, identifying, winning, and retaining top talent in the industry has been a core tenant of the Firm. The Operations Associate will be based out of the La Jolla, CA Firm headquarters. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a strong accounting background that has always had a deeper interest to transition to financial markets or someone with direct hedge fund operations experience that is looking to join a lean team and really shine.

The Operations Associate will report to the Trading Operations Manager, and work closely with the Director of Operations and CFO.

Who you are and what you will do:

You have a well-versed accounting background and/or direct experience in hedge fund operations. You are an expert in excel. You are comfortable performing reconciliations and understand fund accounting. You have sharp attention to detail and take pride in your work and thought processes. You have experience in a rapidly changing environment and can wear many hats. You get excited about perfecting imperfect processes and can turn around excellent work in time sensitive conditions. You enjoy creating ad hoc analyses to help drive Management's decision making. You naturally take a proactive approach to your learning, growth, and contributions.

A successful Operations Associate at Context Capital Management's will include accomplishing the following key objectives:

· Develop in-depth knowledge of the operational business units in a hedge fund

· Apply your unique and advanced education techniques to all facets of the Firm

· Constantly learn and adapt to Context's fluid business approach

· Innovate by working alongside some of the industry's most affluent professionals in the strategy

· Assist in various data analytics projects

Your talents (and our requirements):

· You have a GPA of 3.5 or above

· You have a BA in Applied Math, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or related disciplines

· 1-3 years experience in a challenging accounting or hedge fund operations type role

· You are creative in solving problems and are intellectually curious

· You are hard-working and diligent

· You are enthusiastic, quick-thinking and able to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously

· You are confident, comfortable, and articulate in oral and written communication

· You are focused on achieving the group and client objectives

· You are detail-oriented
