Job Type Full-timeDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThe individual in this role will be responsible for overseeing the operations, distribution, traffic and logistics, storage, facilities, health and safety, maintenance, staffing, budgeting, and performance of distribution facility located in Mexico. Will lead and inspire a team of employees to achieve their personal potential and meet corporate objectives. The ideal incumbent will have a track record of success in driving results, implementing innovative strategies, utilizing metrics to drive decision-making, and effectively managing change and process improvement initiatives.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Directs, develops, and leads WAI Mexico's distribution operations, traffic, logistics, demand planning, and storage, including receiving, replenishment, order fulfillment, packaging/repackaging, shipping, and return processing.
  • Strives to achieve world-class distribution operations and promotes total customer satisfaction, focusing on high line fill, on-time delivery, and optimized cost.
  • Holds P&L (profit and loss) responsibility for all sites in Mexico and manages resources within the distribution group, ensuring region performance meets or exceeds customer-specific expectations.
  • Develops long-range objectives, strategies, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for operations and distribution centers, monitors performance, and provides feedback to team members.
  • Proactively investigates and implements process improvement initiatives to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency. Develops and executes strategies for process and procedure changes to effectively manage risk.
  • Develop and enforce comprehensive safety protocols, conduct regular audits and inspections, and provide ongoing training to ensure a secure work environment, fostering a safety-conscious culture among distribution center staff.
  • Establish and maintain a systematic approach to 5S principles, implementing standards for cleanliness and organization, providing training to optimize workflow, efficiency, and a clean work environment.
  • Leads facility management, health and safety efforts, and the disaster recovery plan.
  • Selects, orients, trains, coaches, counsels, and disciplines associates in coordination with HR.
  • Defines information systems requirements to support process improvement initiatives and integrate technology solutions with the IT team.
  • Promote a collaborative work environment, encouraging effective communication and cross-training initiatives to enhance team productivity, versatility, and skill development.
  • Stays updated on industry trends, technology, processes, and regulations to continuously improve safety, accuracy, quality, and efficiency.
  • Represents the company in strategic expansion projects and acquisitions and undertakes additional responsibilities and tasks as directed by management.
RequirementsQUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, & Skills required)
  • Preferred: Master's Degree in Supply Chain or Operations Management.
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering or a related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in warehouse team leadership within a distribution center; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess P&L, and financial impacts of any changes to distribution service requirements.
  • Proven track record working with big box retailers and business to consumer's operations.
  • Lean / Six Sigma / Lean Daily Management / Strategy Deployment.
  • Supplier negotiation skills, proven cost reduction efforts and experience with agreements.
